"A famine of biblical proportions"
« on: 04 May, 2008, 04:52:37 pm »
One of a few odd things the starey eyed woman said to me as she sat purposefully next to me at the hospital.

However, I knew she was wrong. I could see into the hospital shop from where I was sitting; racks of chocolate bars fought with the crisps and Pik'nMix for the attention of patients, visitors and staff.

The woman  wrang her hands a bit more, then left, muttering, bouncing off all the fatties.
It is simpler than it looks.

'Biblical' is small beer. And old hat.
Stern concludes that without immediate action circa one sixth of the world's population will be buggered by the disappearance of the Himalayan and Andean glaciers. That's one billion people with failed agriculture and a thirst you could photograph.
Have we enough bullets for the size zero bastards?
