I've been envious of the kids, watching them tuck into treacle pudding and custard, etc.

Oven was going on for baked potatoes anyway, so . . .

I whipped up a batter of gluten free flour, demerara suger, cinammon, two eggs, a few majik ingredients (guar gum, bicarb, cream of tartar), butter and warm water. Pour into 8" pyrex dish, fold in 4 small sliced bramleys. Bake in oven until it's cooked.

Turned out pretty well. Could cut and lift out slices, got a thumbs up from kids and wife.
