Our last two chickens had discovered a way out of their run
They were roosting in the hedge a couple of nights ago when....
The following morning I noticed a lot of feathers in the road

So that's the end of them.  I hope Mr Renard didn't bend his jaw too much.  They were very old chickens!

Oh bugger.  I don't know about your neck of the woods, but the foxes are looking very hungry at the moment round here.

Yes, but we are going to clear it up and get rid of the family of rats that are living under the chicken house first.

Ideal thing would be to get some point of lay Morans in spring.  I like Morans.  The last lot were Light Sussex, which were good too.

Two cats have been killed and mutilated by foxes near me, the distraught owners posted a warning leaflet on the lamp post.

I thought a fox would avoid a cat as well . The countryside alliance will be bigging this kind of thing up in a need to further their cause.
