Having looked at several pictures on various websites, I'm going to stick my neck out and say this is trumpet lichen (
Cladonia fimbriata) but I'll happy accept it if someone tells me I'm wrong.
BTW it was produced using in-camera focus-stacking which produces some odd artefacts but hopefully they aren't too obvious.
