Looking for suggestions for offroad routes near SE London.
I have done some of the paths at Bedgebury National Pinetum and enjoyed them.
Anyone got opinions on the route around Bewl Water?
Ideally looking for routes suitable for a gravel bike and having a cafe where I can drop off Mrs Scum while I do the ride.

Thames path out to Gravesend, ferry over then back on the other side via the wonderful grafitti wall nr Dartford Crossing, cross back over at the point of your choice, last time I did Thames clipper to Woolwich

Not sure how East you are - but Wimbledon common is an option if you south central-ish.
Start from the cafe (ice cream!) next to the windmill and hub-and-spoke the different paths. You need to be careful you use a lane allowed for cycling, but there are plenty of options given it's location.

Thames Path will take you as far as Erith.
After that it is big roads as far as Gravesend.

You can go beyond Erith but it means a detour around the Darent estuary via the (sometimes overgrown) footpath. Then you can continue along the Thames path under the QE bridge as far as Greenhithe.
