Mine's a lot greyer too...  He's an eight foot tall replica, carved in oak, of one of the Lewis Chessmen found near here (Ardroil, West Lewis) back in 1830.  The originals were carved from walrus tusk ivory in the 12th century, and are in the British Museum and National Museum of Scotland.  Although
