Thirsk Weekly News wrote an article with pictures on the event. There's a teaser here - http://www.thirskweeklynews.com/cycling_with_cecil-1939.html, but Sio2111 had a picture of the whole thing on Facebook

The chap who wrote it was super enthusiastic and said he's be pestering the local radio station to feature the event (which they did!)

There was a piece on Radio Cambridge's breakfast show which is doubtless accessible if you wave a dead badger over iPlayer.  It's at about 1h 53m into a three hour programme, mind.

There was a piece on Radio Cambridge's breakfast show which is doubtless accessible if you wave a dead badger over iPlayer.  It's at about 1h 53m into a three hour programme, mind.

She was very nice - she came down to the St Ives control and spent ages chatting to people.  Plus Nick Willkinson did a whole hour on the drive time show the Friday before the event - he was the guest of honour and managed to venture opinions about a range of subjects!

If she spent ages talking to people why on earth did she have to broadcast a monosyllabic me?  :-[
