Me again. We have a Hoover WXDA washer/dryer. The door will not close and latch.
I replaced the door interlock switch. Nope, still refuses to latch.
Any ideas please?

Could the latch or the interlock be held in place by self-untapping screws into plastic, leading to an alignment problem? Or for that matter, something at the hinge side of things.
I had to bodge MIL's tumble dryer because of that (not helped by her ignoring the "push to open" sticker on the door and forcing it, as is her way).

Automatic weapon........

Jurek, you haev an unhealthy obsession with automatic weapons in the kitchen...
Regardint the latch there is no clicking noise or movement of the latch. I assume the machine is not sending a signal to engage the latch.

Has Boris Johnson escaped from the fridge?

Squirrels are known to enter through the kitchen door.

I'd go with Kim's suggestion of hinge problem, we had a machine in a self catered that didn't want to close at all, it turned out to be just a tired sagging hinge that stopped the door lock and machine body parts aligning, slight lift on closing worked every time.

Thankyou so much to neilrj. You gave me the solution. The door interlock was OK.
The latch on the door itself had a dropped pin. the fix is to take the door off, then remove the inner of the door using a T20 driver.
Then push the latch pin back into place, and apply a dab of glue.
This video shows how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6H-gqJL6Pk
As an aside, I expected the door interlock to move or click when the power is applied.
Not so. It looks like the latch from the door has to go into EXACTLY the right place before the interlock moves.
