Pooh. I've read mine cover-to-cover already. Am filled with jealousy/envy/respect for all those intrepid souls doing ultra (to me) distance Randonees Mondiaux, as extensively reported in this latest issue. Am desperate to get out on the bike again; had to go for a walk today, just to get out of the house; even that was very dodgy, ice-wise, in many places.

There is a splash on the front of the handbook that says "Receipt of this Handbook is confirmation of your membership renewal".

Anyone have any idea when the membership cards will be sent out?

I see that in the Handbook Mr. Windle has had his RRTY's confiscated and distributed among the Poor of the Parish.  For some reason I am credited with RRTYx3, which is simply Not True.

my 8AAA roll of honour wasn't there either; although I was informed today that each photo appearance costs 2AAA's

I'm sure I wasn't the first to guess the cover shot as being on the Devil before opening it (having never ridden it or even been to Widdecombe for over 30 years) it just had Dartmoor written all over it. Lovely photo.

My family appear more interested in seeing the names or pictures of other yACFers they have met than mine  ???

Apparently they are 'cool' and I am not.   :-X

Ah yes, I'm sorry about that Nik - the last name on my alphabetical list got dropped off, but I've reinstated you on peakaudax.co.uk.

"I am credited with RRTYx3, which is simply Not True."

Well it is Dave according to the AUK online results pages, your 3 RRTYs starting on 03/04/05, 01/04/06 and 27/01/07.  Perhaps you've got a stunt double out there clocking up the rides?

It says on the bit of paper with the address on:
Quote
AUK are not issuing membership cards. Receipt of this Handbook is confirmation of your renewal.
Your membership card can be downloaded from the members' gateway

I wished I'd read this before I raked through my bin looking for it.

Bugger. Mine hasn't arrived yet, so I just had a look at the website and it says my membership has expired. Bloody standing orders.  :(

You can have 5 running at the same time, ask Teethgrinder how to achieve this.
