Good news; My wife can have her radio-iodine treatment for hyperthroidism next week

Bad news; No "close contact" for several days afterwards  :-\

Good News; It won't impact on her planned trip to Canada at the end of May  :)

Good: My lungs are almost entirely clear.

Bad: Because the unholy slime is all jammed in my sinuses.

Good news: I finally got off my arse & went to the GP's. Now got Amoxicillin for the chest infection.
Bad news: That probably means I shouldn't drink anything alcoholic for the next week.

Get better soon AndrewC and ditto - amox for me too.  The lack of booze isn't too bad for me cos I don't drink much anyway.

Bad news.
 - Colleague's garage is broken into.  All family bikes and camping gear stolen.

Good news.  You'd better be sitting down.
- Insurance company don't quibble,  all resolved within a month.  Colleague and his eldest sprog both get upgraded bikes out of it and all camping gear replaced.

Of course he's going to have to spend a small fortune beefing up the security of his garage so it's not unalloyed joy, but still..

Is your colleague aware that the scumbags often return after a few weeks to nick the replacements?

I wonder if there is a market for selling big,garage-dwelling,f66koff Alsation dogs trained to use a shotgun?

He is. Which is why he's currently spending a small fortune beefing up the security of his garage.  Better locks, burglar alarm, ground anchors, yada yada..

Good news: The St Nicks info stall on the 'Green Market' sold 2 of my keyrings.
Bad News: That's all they sold. Still, my share of the proceeds (£2.50) paid for some jiffy envelops and a steak bake for tea.

I mean the steak bake was for tea. The jiffy envelopes weren't.

Good news: I'm not in work today  :-\

Bad news: I appear to have a nasty bit of food poisoning. I was sprinting to the loo all night, and this morning fainted whilst on the throne. I just managed to get onto the floor before I blacked out. Woke up with my arse sticking up in the air and my head wedged into the corner of the shower tray. I didn't have much purchase so it was a panicky struggle to get up.

I'm now feeling weak as a kitten and am drinking tea to try & replace fluids, as I can't find the Nuuns.

Good news: I have all the parts I need to make my Pugsley go.

Bad news: I lack the parts to make it stop.

But did today's audax lead inexorably to a pubbe?  With cake in it?  It's all about the motivation ;)
