How the hell does anyone ever beat Serena Williams?

She is, by any meaningful measure, a f***ing Tennis Beast!

I watched a thing about Martina Navratilova where Billie Jean King was saying so far Martina was the best-ever female tennis player but Serena might beat her in future.

Hardly surprising given the age gap.

Destruction, of knees.  I know quite a few endurance riders who were either footballers or tennis-players before their knees started to complain.

To be clear, are you accusing Serena of doping?

To be clear, tennis has a major doping problem that it is not addressing.

She did. She invoked the deity.

..and still no English tennis player has won Wimbledon since blah, blah, blah.  Still at least there are Wiggins and Froome to keep the cycling side up.

They dont represent England in sport either.

She's not just about power though. Yes, she's powerful and athletic, but she's also smart, tactical, versatile, skillful and very hardworking.

She reads the game and responds.

When she no longer wins we will have a greater variety of Champions, but poorer tennis overall.
She didnt win a Slam for 50 weeks, until yesterday. She's not invincible.

(and she is mostly about power, IMO!)

Oh all right then, how about Cav?  He's pretty nearly English and has a place in Essex.  And Sir Charles Benedict Ainslie who will undoubtedly lead the British Americas Cup team to victory.
