No! Don't delete anything! That was brill.

I just showed Boab that sequence and she's making some very weird noises; hysterical kind of noises.

Wishing people would stop addressing "congratulations on your civil partnership" cards[1]

[1] Which are a thing.

OT, but the day I saw a Christmas card with "To my nephew and his partner", I knew that card manufacturers had gone too far with the personalisation...

Me: "Have you seen the Grumble thread dear?"
Kim: "Just reading it now *giggles*"

Not offended here.  Sorry to hear Mel died young but I loved the photo/reference.  Only on YACF! :)

Ain't never gonna be respectable.

You know, I sat next to a Mel for a while in primary school (when that one was in the charts).  Neither of us had hair that big.

TBH, I was always more Mel & Sue than Mel & Kim.  Maybe that's why barakta got a card addressed to Natalya & Sam?

Roughly 3 hours sleep last night thanks to a) pain in my shoulder, b) noise from outside, c) mice running round the bedroom floor and squeaking.  >:(

Train carriage manufacturers/fitters: how do you do it? Whenever I need a bin, it's luggage space and whenever I look for luggage space it's a bloody bin!

This, but with knee and burglar alarms, rather than mice.

Your knee is running round the bedroom floor and squeaking?  You need to get that checked out professionally.

Dear Commie Pool staff, if you're going to change the lane sign from Slow Lane to Fast Lane, it might be a good idea to let the slow lane swimmers know.  :o

Oh FFS!

"The middle of the week is likely to see winds from the east or NE, bringing
colder-than-average temperatures to many areas. Coastal areas in the east
will be at risk of sleet or snow showers and a few convective showers may
form further inland
."

This winter is never going to end, is it?  :(

Um, it is only mid February. By no stretch of the imagination is it not still justifiably winter.  Come back and grumble if it's still doing it in April.

It's April now.

In the front door?

They went missing some time between getting 'em off the hook in the kitchen and failing to use them to lock the front door.  I had to use the other set which have about a bazillion keys on them and weigh a ton >:(

JAWS/Zoomtext are fantastic pieces of assistive software but I hate tech supporting machines with them on cos the voices make me homicidal - inaudible AND annoying! </reluctant deaf AT sysadmin>

Wishing people would stop addressing "congratulations on your civil partnership" cards[1] to "Nat and Kim".  It's confusing[2].

At risk of more 80s silliness, in this morning's post we received a bottle of champagne with a customised  "Nat & Kim" label on it.  For the full effect, the parcel had the sender's name[3] on the address label.

Yeah Kim's teetotal and I am virtually teetotal and think champagne tastes like fizzy battery acid.  I shall take it to work for our next work do and share it round those who will appreciate it...  Sweet (although possibly one upping sender's sibling) gesture, just totally not us.
