A4+ Colour Laser Printer

I'm after a networking A4 colour laser, possibly with duplexing. Also be able to do full bleed, so I can print borderless stuff.

Ethernet preferred for the networking, although wireless is an option.
It is simpler than it looks.

I am pretty sure that until you get up to the "colour photo-copier" (which is just a big laser printer) you are unlikely to get a realistically priced machine that prints A4 to bleed - the other option is an A3 colour laser - but again price is high.

I have been using an HP colour laser for a while - A4 and only prints to within about 8mm of the edge - but excellent quality.  AND don't forget you can "trick" the HP s/w to ignore the "you have run out of toner" message that stops your printing to get at least 30% more from the cartridges ;-)

We have an HP5500 at the lab. Big beast but prints really well (and A3).

How do you do the software trick?

Do please tell us how, rogbul.

There is a series of steps that you key on the buttons of printers that take HP 1600, 2600 and 2605 series cartridges (and probably others too) - it overrides the chip that counts the copies and tells the cartridge when it has done HP's estimated volume.

If you want to PM me with an e-mail addy I'll find the pdf with the instructions and send it to you.
