I had the same earlier in the month and thanked the 50 people who had informed me about this via messenger within half an hour...

I have reconnected with a number of people I haven't spoken to for a while...

I had the same with an old Facebook account and a Yahoo one too. I had only been in contact
with some of those people (whom I wouldn't regard as friends) only once or twice (over 15 years ago).
