In the meantime, could you clarify what has happened to the two events they currently list?11/09/2021 United Kingdom 200 Calderdale CTC Chris Crossland chris.crossland@halifaxctc.org.uk
I have not seen any "official" announcement but there seems to be a similar "Centenary of the BRM 300" on 11 June 2022, at least the Audax Australia 2021-2022 ride calendar thinks so with a BRM 300 Centenary ride in each of the regions scheduled, time to get some into the UK calendar?https://www.audax.org.au/portal/rides/calendar
It is considered that the first official brevet took place on September 11, 1921.A lot of time has passed since then, bicycles have undergone significant changes, new technologies and special clothing have appeared, but the essence of the randoner movement has remained unchanged. As 100 years ago, desperate people around the world continue to travel ultra-long distances. 200 km is the smallest of them. In addition, there are others. Anyone who successfully completes 200, 300, 400 and 600 km during the season, receives the title of super-randoner.Speed is not the main thing here, but for the race to be considered officially passed, you need to drive 200 km in 13.5 hours.Usually not many people are willing to take part in such races, but at this time about 60 people took part in this Anniversary Brevet, which became a record for Kharkiv and probably one of the most popular brevet races across Ukraine. Many of participants took part in such event for the first time ever.https://www.strava.com/activities/5944093496https://sites.google.com/site/audaxkharkov/brevety/brevets2021/2021-09-11-brm-200-century-anniversary
