Shelsley Walsh Cycling Hill Climb

Worcester St John's CC, Wyre Forest CRC and Midland Automobile Club
Shelsley Walsh is the oldest motor sport venue in continuous use in the world. First used in 1905, it is older than Indianapolis,Le Mans or Monza.
Now for the first time in 109 years we have a Cycling Hill Climb on this historic venue.

First rider is at 11.01 and the hill will be open for practice from 8.30 to 10.30.
Please note the course is on private land and is not open for use except on the day of the event.
We hope to make this an interesting day out for spectators as well as riders the  will be working and various organisations will have stands including Sustrans, CTC and Help for Heros.
Hot and cold refreshments and drinks will be available in the Stratstone Restaurant.
The course is tarmac, 1000 yards (913 meters) average gradient is 1:9 the steepest section is 1:6. Shelsley Walsh is in the Teme Valley on the outskirts of Worcester; there will be ample parking in the motor pits area for competitors and the adjacent field for spectators vehicles.
