After the power supply to my BT Gateway 2 Wire hub failed AGAIN, we reverted to using the BT Home Hub.
After a very slow 70MB download, our internet onnection failed altogether.
We disconnected our numerous phones and plugged the hub into the Master Socket.
Internet connection resumed but the speed is DEAD SLOW.
I've tested the speed on
Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test several times.
The download speed is around 140kbps with the hub connected to the Master Socket and all phones unplugged.
Upload speed is, paradoxically around 380 kbps.
Ping is around 0.125s.
Plugging the hub in a more convenient location does not alter the speed and David is going round reconnecting phones and filters.
This represents a 90% drop in speed since the summer.
Suggestions welcomed.
