Can I just be pedantic about the BikeBiz headline?

It wasn't the Prime Minister's 'cycle proofing' pledge - it was the Transport Secretary's.

Something that repels water is described as water-proof.

So I guess this new road will be cycle-proof, so the government are living up to their promise.

After a heavy deluge , the repellency may wear off and let some cyclists through
