We had been trying to get access to these samples for at least 15 years as we (the lab where I did my PhD) were one of the top Haemophilia labs in UK. The question was always which of the two types (A or B) the Romanovs had as the clinical records and manifestations are identical (under pre second world war medicine anyhow).
And now the americans have done it instead. Grump.
