Sodium chlorate.

NB it'll kill everything so don't use it near your roses or near anywhere you want anything to grow within a year.

Slowly being withdrawn from sale Europe wide in an attempt to improve water quality.
However... scuffers on council estates continue to pour used engine oil down the drains yet no-one withdraws cars from poor thick folk.

Glysophate will kill it down to the roots, just need to be patient at it's not fast acting, takes a fews weeks but I have found this the best.  It needs to be watered onto green foliage and is systemic.

No need for weedkiller, just pull it up each time you pass and it'll go eventually.

But if you try that method without being diligent, you just get weeds for ever.  Know thyself.

Not the time of year for glyphosate; apply it when there is fresh green growth in April, as it will be abosrbed better.  It will still take several applications.
