Scythe garden

I have a fair amount of old rough lawn that I let grow last year and scythed off in September. This year I've done almost nothing to it and have an interesting mix of eared grasses, sorrel, and some wild flowers.  I quite like the effect, but what can I do to increase the variety next year and add more colour, without increasing the workload too much.  Whenever the weather is good for gardening, I'd much rather be on the bike!

If you plant Yellow Rattle, which is a wildflower that is a parasite of grass, your grass yield will diminish greatly. Then once that's done its thing, get some plug plants from British Wild Flower Plants http://www.wildflowers.co.uk and Hey presto!
