Your films are always really good at capturing the events - nicely filmed and with good soundbites from the participants but I have to say, I cannot abide the music you use. Sorry.

Beautiful scenery - and the filming was very good.

I'm pleased with the camera, the colour rendition is good and the AVCHD codec doesn't complain too much about the movement. Video cameras have come a long way, the old tape based systems hated any hint of damp weather, it needed a wide-angle filter to do justice to Glencoe, I passed several pro photographers on Rannoch Moor, the combination of the light and the snow will probably be gracing a few postcards and calendars.

Don't let the camera take all the credit ;)

True.  :)

But it's more a case of the music not really adding anything to the pictures. For me the beautiful, dramatic scenery and the endeavour of the riders is not accentuated by a funk soundtrack.

But I know that when I occasionally edit video (even if it's just holiday stuff) it's more enjoyable editing to music I like and this isn't meant to be some sort of diatribe, just a little constructive criticism. Damon's videos are of a very high quality and I tip my hat to him not only for their quality but for getting out there and doing it.

I must admit I was half expecting Starsky & Hutch to cycle past.

They're in the distance on the left, in the shot of the castle on the island, you can just make them out in HD, Starsky's the one with the curly hair and the belted cardigan with the big collar.

I must admit I was half expecting Starsky & Hutch to cycle past.

I was expecting it to fade out at some point and cut to a scene of a woman in a nightgown answering the door to find a plumber in a kilt. "Av come tae clean yer pipes."
