Jaded and I will be passing through Didcot in November.  There may be photo opportunities.

I've just remembered.  I have to change trains at Didcot this Friday night.  Luckily the chuds prefer to eat young tender Oxford student, rather than me.

Looking up as we left Didcot, I spotted a red kite soaring over the train.

Sorry, but to be news, there would have to be no kite in sight.

What if there was a kite in its guano-filled nest?

All of Didcot is very dull and very grey today.

Particularly the glum people.
It is simpler than it looks.

The beautiful cooling towers and ugly Mail building at Foxhall Junction were joined by the ridiculous this afternoon: "I want to live in Didcot but still go to my school."

This came about a quarter of an hour after "Swindon looks nice."

I have just taken a lovely picture of
Didcot by night. You can't really see it.

Oh, I dunno, taster sessions free of tai chi and racketball do sound fairly relaxing :P ;)

My parents played racket ball.

Til my father stepped on the ball as it was mid-bounce and severed his achilles tendon.

They never went back.

Didcot is smothered in several plumes of power station steam.

Roger is giving me a run down on the engines in the station. The blue smiley one is Thomas, apparently.

On platform 2 there is a café that purports to sell coffee.

This turned out to be, to paraphrase Douglas Adams, "almost, but not quite, entirely unlike coffee"

You have been warned!
