Pot lid handle
« on: 05 April, 2021, 01:46:12 pm »

The lid off my steamer has finally degraded after over a decade of use. I bought it in Asda ages ago, but I really like it and use it a lot. Do universal replacement pot lid handles exist? This one was simply screwed to the glass lid.

Probably not but catering equipment websites frequently sell spare complete lids.

I can't remember what happened to the handle (knob) on the wok steamer lid, nor what it looked like, but when it died/disintegrated/escaped/was stolen, I replaced it with a piece of 1" dowel (aka broomhandle). I cut a piece about 3cm long and screwed it in from underneath. It's been good for the last 7 years or so and, if it dies (etc) will be easy to replace.
