Yep Calshot is small - I've ridden Manchester and Newport (once with Chris Hoy & Jamie Staff, really!) quite a few times and they are pretty steep and tight but Calshot is like an elongated pudding basin.

The Calshot track is the old one that they used to use for the Skol 6 day events at Wembley way back when - they chopped a bit out of the straights to get it to fit in what was the old Sunderland seaplane hanger.

I worked on the Calshot track in the 70s. The track was replaced some years ago, the original Skol track was flat boards like a threepenny bit and they have used the original base and made a more modern curved track which is much nicer to ride. Still steep though.

I went back after 40 years and had an individual session and was treated very well.

I am sure you will have a great time and be really well taken care of. Enjoy
