Title: Bradley Wiggins inspires kids to lose the stabilisers
Post by: Rhys W on 01 August, 2012, 07:18:17 pm
My six year-old niece has been watching the Tour de France and now the Olympics, getting caught up in the Wiggins-frenzy. She points him out on the tv to her grandparents, explaining that he wears yellow because he's winning. It's inspired her to make the effort to learn to ride without the stabilisers for the first time:

Cycling Weekly were looking for stories about cyclists rekindling their enthusiasm in the wake of Brad's successes, so I emailed them the link. It wasn't the kind of story they were looking for but I thought they'd at least find it amusing. They've put the story on the website:

It might appear in the print version next week!

It's a great moment isn't it?

My son proved that it's all in the mind on this thread (http://yacf.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=20257.15)
