It isn't the pot itself that has broken, it's the tea infuser. It's conical with a supporting ring at the top, which has come adrift from the cone. I'm very surprised, given the elegant design of the rest of the tea pot, that they manufactured the infuser from 3 bits of metal rather than just the one. I think it's stainless steel.
I'm contemplating fixing it with araldite. I fixed the handle back onto a saucepan lid quite successfully, but they don't come into direct contact with food. Is araldite OK to use on an item that gets dunked into every pot of tea we make?
