Raiders Of The Lost Ark, a complete waste of 2 hours because Channel 4 cut the bit where the Nazi melts.  Bastards.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

I expect they neutered the propellor incident too. Heartless bastards.

Dredd.
Lots of gore.
Pretty much what you expect really.
Beer required.
There's no vibrations, but wait.

Le Magnifique, probably the funniest flim Jean-Paul Belmondo ever made. The Man from Acapulco in English but I bet it's not half as funny.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

I'm waiting for the sequel, screenplay by John Grisham with Mr T as The Cellmate.

The Painted Bird (2019)

Arty B/W Czech film about a jewish boy trying to find his way home from an unnamed E. European location in the closing stages of WW2, after his aunt (guardian) dies and he accidentally burns her and the house to the ground. Features a man being eaten alive by rats, a woman having sex with a goat, paedophilia by members of Catholic Church, and a ferret being burnt alive. There were probably other horrific scenes but I fell asleep in the middle. The cinematography is awesome.

Apparently audiences walked out of cinemas. It's not clear whether that was because of the demanding content (it's not actually very graphic) or because it's three hours long with about ten words of dialogue throughout (the boy never speaks).

An American Pickle (2020)

A mediocre US comedian plays himself and his own Grandfather as a European Jew with a dodgy beard and even more dodgy accent, who by some freak accident was preserved in a pickle barrel so they are now the same age. Various childish hilarity ensues. Avoid.

Hope it was either the Stallone one or the recent remake, not the god awful 2012 version that is currently on Netflix

That sounds interesting - I've put in a request on Cinema Paradiso for them to try and get hold of it.

2012 I'm afraid - hence the beer.

Four funerals and a wedding.

This was a whirlwind tour of religious celebrations of death. The film was 6 hours long, which under the circumstances was a blessing.

This riproaring dirge of darkness was briefly enthused by a marriage between an aristocratic simpleton and a duck. It is a masterpiece. I hadn’t noticed it was raining.
It is simpler than it looks.

What is wrong with the 2012 Karl Urban as Dredd version? Far superior to the Stallone Dredd.

The Towering Inferno.  Richard Chamberlain deserves a stickier end.  OJ Simpson manages not to stab the cat.

Wonder Woman 84. I've taken 2 breaks already. It's long and boring.
Edit: Finished it.  It's 2 hour 30 mins running time and is about 1 hour 45 too long.

After almost a year I engaged with my son’s home schooling and watched Batman Returns with him.

The soundtrack is one of the set works for his A Level music.

Based on the reviews here, think I'll be watching 'Falcon before any Wonder-Woman films.
