13.7 to be precise. Plus a badger that we chased down the road.

EDIT:  on the way home, I felt a click from the chain area, so spent the last part of the journey trying hard not to stand up on the pedals in case t went ping.  Inspection this morning shows that caution was definitely in order:-

That might explain the ticking sound I noticed earlier in the evening then... ???

Not sure - I had a feeling that this only started during the ride home...  I had plenty of other ticking noises from my rear wheel earlier though ;) (I'm still trying to work out what those are).

(Also Chief's front wheel was somewhat bent, and had a bit of noise from it (brake rub and other creaks).

This thread took some finding as it looks like more than 12 whole months have elapsed since our last EFNRttP (with the exception of the Christmas do)

So might I suggest a plan?  Before continuing I should point out that I have secured Oaky's permission to do some forward planning so please don't set the US Navy Seals on me for contravening the Geneva Convention on Doing Stuff at Short Notice.

Date and time: Friday 3rd June  :o  1930hrs
Suggested rendezvous pub: Sportsman's Arms, Sportsman's Lane, Hatty Peverel, CM3 2NW
Suggested route: up North Hill stopping at The Rodney, The Generals Arms at the top of North Hill, then right by the pink house and down the hill to The Bell, then The Victoria and finally drop in on Wally at The Cats.

My Grade 4 CSE Maths tells me this is a 6 pub ride.  And yes, I know what happened on the last 6 pub ride I attempted.

Thoughts folks?

I'll need to look at the stars and consult Microsoft Outlook to plan that far ahead but in principle, jawohl

By the way, The Current Mrs R is coming too  so hopefully some other wives, husbands, boy friends, girl friends, pets, life coaches, Thai mail order brides, inflatable companions or random strangers picked up along the way can make it.

The suggestion was made but 'politely' turned down citing current health condition and wishing to see her next birthday  :o
I'm sure you'll all have a wonderful time even if you can't remember that you did on Saturday morning  :P
