Heart warming result after such a difficult time.

Glad to see he still has something, and it must be great after all the stuff he's had to put up with the last few years.
Do you reckon Cav and Greipel will be racing Zimmer frames around the place in 40 years time? :)

Rude ;D, have you seen the hour record for the over 70? 43.2 km I couldn't get anywhere near...

And again!

I take your point, and there are some incredible older athletes around, but banging elbows is a bit different to the hour. :)

P, don't give up: you're still young and inexperienced. By the time you are 70, the advances in medication should be tremendous!

Never say never, while the body deteriorates with age, you have more time to look after yourself and do remedial work once you can retire from work. There are many things you can do to slow down the process... like giving up drinking, stay fit and slim and so on.
But ultimately, it is a mind over matter, many people seem to pack up once kids go to Uni, which typically happens in the mid 40s to early 50s... it doesn't have to be like that. They start looking at cruises and retirement apartments... ::-)

Hmmm. It's only mind over matter for a while. Ultimately, it's definitely matter over mind. A difficulty also is that exerting your mind over your body can both help AND hinder your heart, though it generally has a beneficial effect on other organs (except Hammonds - they tend to deteriorate with age).
What do organists like for breakfast?

Cav hat-trick?
I can't see a single stage date on the official tour website... https://www.tourofturkey.org.tr (so looked at wiki...)

This is getting silly!
-
Blimey, that's quite some comeback.

Sprinters' wins often come in bunches... they win every sprint for a month and then they disappear for two years

Sprinters' wins often come in bunches...
Is that why they are called "bunch sprints?". ;)

It's a nice, or should I say, "delightful," touch that the leader's jersey in this race is turquoise.
-
Blimey. Just gets better.

Shane Stokes had a chat with Brian Holm at the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali a few weeks back. The interview is worth a read because it probably goes some way to explain why Cav looks like he's getting (got?) his mojo back.

The rare hat-trick.

That's a good set of stage wins. Earlier this year it didn't look like he was going to get anywhere near his form of old.
However, let's see how he does against the best sprinters in due course (baffled by the DQT tactics at Scheldeprijs at the weekend).

It's good to see Citoyen is back winning again

I must admit, I thought they'd be rarer!
Before Mark Cavendish sprinted into the finish in the Turkish resort of Kemer on Wednesday afternoon to win for the third day in a row, it was 18 months since any professional cyclist had done anything similar.
