Chain length 1x drive train
« on: 27 January, 2022, 05:59:33 pm »
Only set up 2x/3x before and used the 'round the big sprocket and the big chainring plus 4 to 5 pins' method in the past.

Is it the same for 1x with 'dinnerplate' sprocket (round chainring and big sprocket plus 4 to 5 pins)?

Thanks

The campagnolo way looks like  + 5or 6 links big sprocket /chairing with no mech wrap around . https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s5hN94bN3nM

Think I've found it

SRAM recommendation is slightly different:  "Wrap the chain around the chainring and largest cassette cog, bypassing the rear derailleur. For hardtail bicycles, add two inner links and two outer links where the chain starts to overlap"
