I have a rare Saturday off. I shall wander over the fields to the pub with my wee hairy dog then return to cook something nice for Barbara to come home to   :)

My gamble has paid off.  I put off the purchase of Easter Eggs for the family until this afternoon.
Bit of a panic as I had to visit several shops to find any at all.
Then there they were.  On the Reduced For Quick Sale shelf.
Several £ saved.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

You were lucky! Sainsbury's Taunton this morning only had Bailey's Easter eggs left.  Not really suitable for a seven year old!
We ended up getting a Smarties egg at a motorway service station for £lots.

An ex colleague has just come into the office to pay his subs for our lottery syndicate.

He looks about 500%  better than he did the last time he came in.   It's amazing what a new lung will do for a chap.

He's been walking around with an oxygen cylinder on his back for the last 3 years, waiting for a transplant.  Pulmonary fibrosis, very nasty.

Dodged a bullet last night.  Meant to go and put another quid in the parking meter between the bar and the restaurant, but forgot.  When I remembered, it was about half an hour overdue.  When I got to the car TWO parking attendants were arguing about which of them should do the rounds on which side of the car park.  I bought a new pay and display sticker and surreptitiously removed the old one.

The Porsche parked next to my car got ticketed  :)

I have just received an email from Team 9bar saying that they would like to have me as an athlete on their team. I'm so happy :) As someone who would 'never run again' I'm really happy to be back :)

Although I've obviously been accepted as a runner, I will also be expected to wear the kit at cycling event things as well- the other cyclist on the team is Ed Clancy so I'm in good company ;)

Well done Lady C!

I have to confess that I don't actually know what a 9bar is.

Only just seen this. Absolutely awesome. Truly awesome.

9bars are popular in this household, too. Used to bulk order boxes of them. They are a bit moreish.
