My nephew, studying for a Chem Eng degree at Imperial College, has won some prize or other (form Eon, I think) worth almost £5000 as a result of his efforts. When the email arrived telling him about it he thought it was spam.

Waitrose will be opening in Uttoxeter

I suspect I may wait a very long time before I see the headline, "Waitrose to open in Sheerness".

Poo.
There's no vibrations, but wait.

Vernon has just received a refund from our conveyancers.

Not something you'd usually associate with a bunch of solicitors and even more amazing as it relates to a refund by the LR which implies they are competent enough to know that they owed it.

Our modem's a bit f*cked, I can't open about 50% of websites, I had to phone Novatech to order a new modem/router (oh, the irony).

One of the shites I can't open is the Waily Wail

My advice would be to go and get spares cut before you put them down and forget where they are ;D

Get LOTS of spares but distribute them wisely.
Keep at least one set for house guests if you value a quiet life.
