They have changed the charges to say that he ordered the testosterone knowing it was going to be given to an athlete.
They also say that they have evidence there was no clinical need for Sutton to have it (though given Sutton's personality, one could see how he might view it as desirable).

2010 was the year Sky looked farcically shit.

2011-2012 was was the  year Sky employed the now-banned ex-Rabobank doping doctor Geert Leinders.

Testosterone delivery was 2011.

September 2011, Froome won the Vuelta (retrospectively) with Wiggins second. This is the Froome that was so crap up to the vuelta 2011 that Sky were trying to dump him and he faced dropping to Conti level team.

2012 was Wiggins magic year of winning everything he entered.

I'm sure it's all just a series of coincidences.

Presumably Testogel could be rubbed in by a passing masseur, Salazaree stylee. But, I thought it was patches, which does somewhat diminish plausible deniabliity.

I see lots of studies suggesting HIIT is better than long steady distance, implying that the traditions are being overtaken. Of course, the traditional methods usually work pretty well and have been refined over years in the furnace.

The GMC's QC has begun the case against Freeman:

"It is the GMC case is that Testogel was used ... in microdosing as a way of improving an athlete’s performance. And that this Testogel was not used to treat’s Shane Sutton’s erectile dysfunction as claimed by Dr Freeman"

Marginal gains  ;)

It sounds like Shane Sutton isn't going to be able to keep it up for much longer.

why on earth would Shane want testogel?  Viagra would do the job much better.

So, Sutton tried to cover his back? And how can a team based on 'marginal gains' and covering every detail have a doctor as disorganized as Freeman?

Veloman is watching.

Hasn't got the balls to post though.

Currently enjoying the spectacle of Freeman putting Sutton in a dilemma.

Freeman admits he ordered the testosterone, but says it was Sutton who bullied him into it in order to treat Sutton's erectile issues.

Sutton denying he has a problem getting a stiffy...which leaves the question open as for whom the drugs were ordered.

Had Sutton admitted it (truthfully or otherwise) the issue of BC/Sky doping would be put to bed.

Instead, Sutton flew into a rage, and stomped out of the hearing....which is absolutely not the sign of somebody with a surfeit of testosterone  ;D

It was all a bit boring and predictable until the subject of Sutton's alleged floppiness came up (or didn't).  The only fly in the ointment is that Viagra is now easily available and almost certainly more effectual than testosterone, so either it's all BS or Sutton was just using what was available.

The thing about Viagra is that you can get it over the counter although you might have to take two.
Sorry.

I'm not very concerned about the Sky allegations, it's pro-cycling after all.

I'm more interested in Heiko Salzwedel and British Cycling. I've always been a bit uneasy about GB becoming the new East Germany.
