Sorry, you're absolutely correct, very few G&Ts are drunk on a Wednesday evening.  The pockets should be:
Beer, Beer, Merlot

^^^ FFS  ::-)

Anyhow, the King Billy tomorrow evening, the route library offers THIS NUGGET from a previous visit.  I seem to remember that me and josser went off piste across a ploughed field and I propose we don't do that again.  I also seem to remember we collected said josser from outside his house which of course we can always do again.

Thoughts?

I don’t know what you mean, the ploughed field was EPIC!!

I’m working tomorrow night, so don’t worry about me... I may try to come after work, but I’ve got a 200 planned on Thursday taking in the delights of the kelvedon oyster, which means an early start (for me at least).
You can’t just call time out and stroll on into the beach if you don’t like the way things are goin’.

After a discussion yesterday with a few it seems there is consensus to change this Wed venue to the spiritual home in order to get one last visit in before the ACME landlord knocks the pub down and then forgets how it all goes back together again...

I'll update teh calendar accordingly and shift Duton Hill to a later date (any thoughts when?)

Soupy and chums went to the re-opened George at Shalford at lunchtime today - said it was thriving, so one to add back onto the list? It has the advantage of being on a gritted road, but just a little north of the MEMWNS centre of gravity. Shalford Brewery ales, so minimal 'beer miles'!

The ACME landlord is already gadding about with the Dutch Wife, incognito in another country. I doubt we'll see him again.

Dutton Hill, when it's a bit lighter and warmer in the evenings, maybe June ish. (2030)

I was still cycling uphill past you with one crank.

I think I've still got mini PTSD over that. Maybe we should visit soon so I can get over it.

Not sure if I'll be able to ride Wednesday evening or how lengthy my route may be if I do ride.  Depends how much recovery progresses after what appears to be Revenge of the Oyster which others have also succumbed to I believe.

Most of your weight loss is due to dehydration. When you stop pooing and puking and rehydrate you'll be back to your "normal" weight.

Re: Revenge of the Oyster - from the sound of it I think I got off lightly; just flopped about yesterday at home, felt a bit queasy with my guts in knots and lost my appetite too. Almost normal today ...

Possibly - did we settle on spiritual home in the end?

Unless anything significant changes I think I will be making a later start and taking a direct route to the Spiritual Home for 9ish arrival, taking it steady to see how the body feels.
Don't wait for me at the RBT and only expect me if you see me.  If I do make it I'll probably be very much a lightweight on the Energy Drinks too.

I'll see you all there. Today has been situation normal, we'll see how the system responds to alcohol ... [It occurs to me a pint with the oysters on Saturday might have killed the bacteria!]

I am if fact wimping out this evening. Call it a combination of the last few days and the falling mist promising to make it a non pleasurable ride adding up to a bout of CBA.
I'll continue my personal Oystergate recovery in the warm & dry and be fitter for Saturday.
