We’re delighted to announce that the York Rally will return to the Knavesmire on the 17 to 19th June 2022!

A superb response to our urgent call for volunteers to join the organising committee has resulted in no fewer than six new members joining our all-volunteer team.

This means we can be confident that key roles will be covered, and we can proceed with the 2022 event. Please save the dates: 17-19 June 2022.

Campsite bookings will open shortly. Please watch our website and social media for details – and we’ll also be keeping in touch via this mailing list, of course.

We can't wait to see everyone back on the Knavesmire, for a grand weekend of cycling, at this historic event!

I just got the email. After saying for years I'd go, I finally got around to booking for 2020. So for everyone's sake it might be best I ignore this one.

Barakta made "fuck it, let's go" noises that were completely at odds with her current level of mobility.

We'll see.

If nothing else, the Knavesmire is probably one of the safest places to be from a coronalurgi dispersion perspective.

I'll be there at some point on the Saturday, doubly so if I get "persuaded" to commissaire the grass track racing. Again!

I'll probably see the BHPVC racers at work on the Sunday as well!

I will be there ( trying positive thoughts this time ) on the surplus special trike , hanging around barrow avenue . A big THANK YOU to the volunteers who are making this happen .

We'll be there. My sister is planning her 50th birthday celebrations around it because I said I wasn't going anywhere apart from York Rally if it is on. (I believe Tank Fest is on in the West country around the same time and her son was campaigning for a campsite near that).

Campsite bookings have opened. I've slightly optimistically booked a motorist pitch for the two of us, on the basis that that's the flexible way round. If Natalya isn't up to it, I can resort to cycle tourist tactics. Or bring a car full of BHPC kit (booking the velodrome to coincide with the rally is a work in progress).

Interestingly, I saw a tweet about Tankfest the other day. I think it's the following weekend.

Is no longer a work in progress. There will be a BHPC race at the university velodrome on the Sunday. All (over the age of 10 with brakes and magic hats) welcome.

I'm booked. I wasn't sure but now I'm committed. It will give me a goal to focus on. I will be cycling there over 2 days probably. I have been doing more hiking and running but will include more cycling.

The lovely organisers are going to allocate us a pitch close to where the action is, so barakta doesn't have to stumble and wince her way across a field more than absolutely necessary.

It'll be great to see people again.
