The 'Round Chelmsford' is the inaugural ride of the newly formed "Cycle Club Hackney".

This is a sociable, non-competitive ride and you can do it fast or slow. The distance is around 88 miles; there are some hills!

Meeting 9am, 6th April at the car park, Lee Valley Ice Centre, Lea Bridge Road E8

CCH has been formed to promote cycling and cycle sport in East London, especially for youth. It has already developed ties with Hackney Youth Services and Hackney learning Trust, with the aim of providing sporting opportunities to everybody in Hackney. The club is open to anybody, regardless of age or geographical location.

Any takers for this then? There is a very convenient bail-out option back to London half way round if the weather gets rough - duck into Chelmsford town and get the train. I live in Chelmsford so it will be an even more convenient bail-out for me, although I fully intend to complete the circuit.

I would do except I'm off to sunny Hampshire for a few days.

I'd quite like to but it clashes with the Sheldon ride.

I'd be interested to hear of future planned rides though. Hope you have a good one.
