I decided to go the long way back from lunch at my parents, but forgot I'd left my fully charged headtorch at home. So 33 Km on some darkish roads with my front lights at half charge.

I'm not looking forward to my birthday as I'm worried that a spiteful ex will try and do something to spoil my day, so I think I'm going into hiding until it is all over. I was going away, but I can't travel due to some treatment I have to have, so I've put my travel date back to the end of the month.  Perhaps - should postpone my birthday to then.   

Can you book into a nice hotel (or spa) near enough to get to the hospital?  Treat yourself to some pampering, and keep the mobile turned off.

I haz a green yacf jersey or two.  But it weren't me.  I've been in Cambridge, now back in Derby.  And my only cycling has been to/from the bus stop on my Rowing-Club-Coloured brompton.  Due to the fact that I'm making inroads into the EU Snot Mountain.
