Leaky Thermarest
« on: 01 February, 2012, 08:43:19 pm »
I have a Thermarest Prolite Plus which appears to have developed a leak.  I inflated it this morning and by evening it was noticeably soft.

I can't hear or feel any air leaking.  Can I submerge it, like an inner tube, in an attempt to find the leak?  And if I do find it, should I stick to Thermarest patches, or will any similar do?

TIA
;D  Andrij.  I pronounce you Complete and Utter GIT

I'd certainly try the bath trick.  As to the patches I've heard of people using all sorts of things including tyre patches.

If you can't find or fix the leak they do have a lifetime warranty. I've had 2 free replacements so far.

You can buy a repair kit. My Thermarest has four or five patches - the bath thing works, but be prepared to search really hard for the tiniest of holes.
