Just spotted this.

Is this the one that folk have bought and rave about?

Yes, but you'd be better off getting one of the cheap clones, seeing as they're almost identical.

But, can the cheap clones stand my bulk?

Blimey.  Just found them even cheaper.   Didn't these chairs used to cost about £90?

All the clone ones which are about £30 state a limit which is a bit close for me but would easily accommodate mllePB.   Guess that I'll have to have the expensive one then.   :D

The main problem with them is the legs sinking into the grass when it's on the soft side, and the feet being left behind when you pull them out. Either rely on noticing and retrieving the lost feet, of think about taking some castor cups.

Yes, they used to be around £85-£90.

The clones, or some of them at least, avoid that problem by resting on horizontal bars rather than legs.

They now do a swivel Helinox but is a tad spendy.

Bigger packing (42x14x14 vs 35x10x12cm), heavier (1250 vs 850g), not as strong (120 vs 145kg).
I think I'll give it a miss.

I notice that Helinox are now offering ball feet for soft ground, that apparently go on over the existing feet (OOS/NYA, $30)

This has been a long and fruitless search as the originals seem to be completely unavailable, but ...

these fit perfectly.

I have one of those on one of mine. I use a trekology sand/mud ground sheet that stops them sinking, but it doesn't seem to be available now. Helinox make their own one, but it's more expensive.

We have two Chair Ones and each now has a genuine Helinox groundsheet.  Mine lost a foot which started my search but also prompted buying the 'groundsheets'.  I have replaced the full set of feet on mine so I have three original Helinox feet in used condition up for grabs.  I have two further packs of feet: one for mllePB's chair and one for future spares.

I also have a number of reject 'feet' which have all been larger than advertised and one set are absolutely massive.

£50 reduced to £15, just chanced upon this thread, thought someone might like to splash out.
Besides, it wouldn't be audacious if success were guaranteed.

I was looking at the tall version - quite fancy trying one, but their shop isn't oened up yet, so I'll hold on for now, and forgot to ask to see one when I was there last week to click and collect the wife's new swimming gloves.

Two lighter and cheaper alternatives.

However, they do involve fiddling with a sleeping mat and quite possibly getting it rather muddy, which might or might not bother you.

They also put you at ground level, which is suboptimal for sufferers of Knees.
