Ping Pong P0t, of course, would have been competing for Kampuchea, in every event, as he was the only one left.

I think my sister and I used to play ping pong pot as kids - taping yoghurt pot pockets to the corners of the coffee table, and using ping pong balls and a walking stick for a cue....

rhythmic archery

Two competitors to a team. One shoots, one performs artistic routines, throwing up targets as they twirl, backflip etc.

Someone on the BBC is suggesting combining cycling and rowing to make Olympic Pedalo.  ;D

Horseback javelin throwing. At targets, natch.

Like Kirst's horseback archery suggestion, I think that Mongolia already does that.  I'm sure I've seen this on some Michael Palin type programme, I've done a bit of googling to find it but without success.

Google Grozer Bows; he's a Hungarian bowmaker who mentions horse archery on his website.

Jack Thurston suggested (on twitter) combining archery and cycling for a sort of summer biathlon, which I reckon would be a great one.

I combine them (but it's a bit of a pain transporting a bow and 28" arrows about)

Rowing jousting. The cox sits at the front of the boat holding a modified oar.
It is simpler than it looks.

Except jousting isn't an olympic sport.

You can't just post your little fantasies!

How about pole vaulting with fencing foils? Best suited to only but the lightest competitors.

Indeed, but fencing isn't jousting. Completely different discipline!

<so, what would I allow - ah yes ...>

Fencing on the 4" beam - much more elegant than the pugil-sticks in Gladiators.

Canoe fencing. Team of three: two to paddle the canoe, one to fence. Fall in & you lose.
