Contagion

I've just discoverd that my daughter has been running & CYCLING regularly  :o

This from a lass who used to use the car to go to work approx 500 metres up the road.

She has been running twice a week & riding twice a week using the loops around the local lanes known to my grand daughter Emily from riding them with me on the tandem.

This discovery comes to light because Claire has just stopped at CafeJogler for coffee&cake en route to her home 200 metres round the corner ;D.
I asked why she was looking all-of-a-glow.She has just ridden 12 miles(one hour):almost to Uttoxeter & back on her knobbly-shod mtb.

Marj has decided to do the village  shopping on her bike which will be a first ride since she took a tumble  over the Xmas break.

So that's daughter, grand daughter** & wife all upferit*

Claire has invited me to accompany her on her keep fit routine :-\
Not sure about the running bit.
We could end up with 3 generations of jogler on the road simultaneously ;D

I think I'd better up my game to keep up

Claire has just discovered a large thorn protruding from her tyre.It seems that I've been nominated to fix the puncture 'cause she has left her bike here.
I reckon a group teach-in is needed so that the females of the family know how to fix their own punctures.A necessary skill that all cyclists should posses.

A small price to pay.

I nominate jogler for our prestigious 'Evangelist of the Month' award.
Getting there...

Excellent!  (apart from the running bit, that's clearly daft)

I've dealt with the running bit by offering to ride adjacent on the road whilst Claire runs on the pavement.ftw :smug:

Daughter #1 does ride to work when the weather is good, but she much prefers running. Daughter #2 a super fit/strong professional ballerina laughs at my cycling habit. My son rides a Mountain Bike to the shops once every few months. My wife wouldn't be seen dead wearing lycra - I blame her for the children turning out so badly  :-[
