Whoops clicked wrong button when editing and deleted my post but Zacklaw captured pre edit.

I was going to add that unless your average speed is at or below 12 km/h, you are always making time when on the move.  When stopped at 0 km/h you are losing time.

Start with the belief you can do it, and keep forward momentum.   It’s not moving time that sees you bouncing time limits, it’s the accumulation of stopped time.  Keep stops to the minimum necessary and you’ll build enough time for sleep each day.

As Phil says, and also in the immortal words of advice Chris Crossland said just before PBP 2015 to us, "Sitting in cafe's is not making progress, you have to keep the wheels turning"

Mind you, my motivation and enthusiasm is rock bottom, I should have been on the road 90 minutes ago heading to Debden, and still sat here at home.

I like to remind myself that if I'm not eating, sleeping or peeing then I should be riding. everything else is just losing time
