Keep up!  We talked about this last Wednesday!  ;D

As my Cunning Plan TM came to nought, and in the absence (currently) of any other Cunning Plans TM, it was suggested we fall back on the tried and tested formula of previous years.  That being, we meet in 'spoons Witham for breakfast and beer (for those who want to), ride to a lunchtime venue (TBC) and then to The Spiritual Home for dinner, camping and the usual shenanigans.  You accepted the highest honour which can be bestowed on any living soul, assuming Jem doesn't want to make up for last (this) year.

Of course all the above is dependent on the coronavirus situation.

We normally rely on Archbishop Tomsk to confirm when Epiphany is each year, usually the first weekend in January, but next year that's 2nd and 3rd January so may be the following weekend.

That's a quick u-turn. A new career in politics beckons.

I'm riding the 'Oyster' on Saturday or Sunday. I may have an Epiphany beer at home when I've finished ...

Go on, have more than one.  A beer blanket is always nice when you are sleeping in a tent.

I need to sort out with Oaky how we manage to sit outside drinking champagne in freezing conditions while people turn up to scrounge.  Virtual scrounging is not easy.

I am half-tempted by the tent option but I am sure (literally) my other half will win out.

Hmmm ... Virtual Epiphany? But camping after a jaunt round Essex? Very tempted to do something.

You do know that  stay at home doesn’t apply if you are homeless. Maybe get kicked out for 24 hours?  :-\

This was discussed yesterday evening by those of us at The Orange Tree.  Three Elders were present (me, Oaky and Tomsk) so I think it was a properly convened discussion.

Anyhow, how does Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th grab everyone?  As regards venues we thought breakfast at 'spoons Witham, then lunch somewhere (The Red Beret, Chelmsford was suggested  :demon: ), then dinner and camping at The Spiritual Home if they'll have us.

Wot do we think?

Presume you realise that is Asparagus and Strawberries weekend, so some might be riding or organising that?

Also LEJOG 1400km, if that happens.

From my pov, the weekend before is a certain young person's 21st; the first weekend in July is Fenland Friends 600. How about 26/27 June?
