Looking at the replay of the Italian try, I think it was MotM Josh Adams who missed the tackle that was the last chance to stop the fullback.  :P

Concerning the future of Italy in the 6 Nations: if this U20s match is anything to go by, they've not got much to worry about. They drubbed Scotland. I thought it was lovely having a woman referee as well.

Well, that came true rather quicker than I expected!

Italy really didn’t give in there, and just dug deeper when they lost the lead. It really was a demonstration of its not over until the lady sings.

Josh Adams handed his MotM award to Capuozzo. What a lovely gesture!

According to Wikipedia Dan Biggar is "most famously known for losing to Italy on his 100th cap".

On 12 February 2022, in the match against Scotland, in the 2022 Six Nations Championship he earned his 100th international cap.

Presumably they counted his Lions appearances in that total.

Just remind me where Wales (and Scotland) finished again, Beardy?  If England can play consistently as they did in the last quarter against France, then there is hope.  Wales have very little hope at the moment, which is really unusual.  But that's why sport is so fascinating - unless you support Rochdale FC.

Well, France are now champions, which Wales were up to the end of the match we have just seen!  So France have replaced Wales! :D

That's impressive work! The Six Nations' website has the final table wrong. I was trying to work out how they gave France 28 points. It should be 25 points according to my reckoning: 5 * 4 for their won matches, 2 bonus points for the matches played and 3 bonus points for getting the grand slam.

I expect it will be edited soon and this post will be irrelevant...

Delightful results.  Pleased of course at France getting their Gland Slam, pleased at Ireland getting the Triple Crown, tickled pink at Capuzzo's run. Very satisfactory, all that. ;D ;D ;D

And we've had some cracking matches along the way!
(I liked how France gave everyone a chance in each match, just for us to enjoy.)

Think 3rd is a fair result for that England.

Yes, I think it's been a fascinating championship, even if you support Wales.  There has been some good rugger and not very much in the way of handbags.  And England seem to have tightened up on the penalties given away front, I think.

They still can’t scrummage though. Ok, maybe I’m being a bit unfair. But only a bit.
