RIP Viewranger, welcome Outdooractive :-(

As of today Viewranger has been switched off and merged with Outdooractive.  OA seems to work OK, slightly differently in that with VR you stored the maps off line on your device and syncronised routes/tracks etc with web based VR.  OA web based is similar enough not to be a problem and there is the advantage of a better range of mapping available.  However you need to downloade the route complete with the map(s) on an individual basis to the device.  Overlapping tiles are not downloaded twice so a larger area can be built up. This way of working looks as though it will work for us.

My big issue is that the cheap, small light phone we use for mounting on the bars (Motorola Moto E) is not compatible with OA so we will need to look for an alternative device or application.

Any suggestions to replace the phone and/or the application would be appreciated.

Thanks

Kim
