Well there was public information films about pavement parking in 1982 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Zjo7B5T0CU which is a bit later than Abby Road but suggests it was an increasing problem. I REALLY need to get some sticky stickers made to stick on the windscreens of pavement parked vehicles saying what a selfish twat they are.
