Now what would be really exciting would be, say, a cephalopod or mebbe a dolphin.  Now that I'd tune in for.
It would mean a lot more dialogue for the companions:

"What's that skippy doctor? The daleks have what? Oh dear, that's not good ...
The Tardis needs fixing? Sure tell us what to do, you can't hold the Sonic Screwdriver now!

Ooh a kangaroo!  Now that's a good idea!  After all, if a kangaroo could be a leading character in Tank Girl, why not the star in Dr. Who?

Point of order. The doctor goes through a regeneration not a reincarnation.

I had seen the rumours in the mill so I knew he was back. But is he the 10th it the 14th or even the 16th doctor.

When the Boney M played I scared the dog with my laughter.

I enjoyed this one, didn't even notice that it was an hour and a half.

Now we wait again until 2023.

I had seen the rumours in the mill so I knew he was back. ...
I hadn't heard anything, so that was also somewhat of a surprise for me too!

When the Boney M played I scared the dog with my laughter.
They do seem to enjoy throwing in some music for him to dance too! I remember a similar usage way back in Series 3 (3 minutes 12 seconds in).

I enjoyed this one, didn't even notice that it was an hour and a half.
Was it?!  :o

Pictures circulate way back in May with Doc #10 and Donna filming in Camden https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSN4xdaXTtM Though back then we didn't know it it was just a special for 60th year of Doc or if he was coming back as a doc.

Yes I didn't feel that it was that long either

I love the link to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g9oQKlFTbM at the every end :)

Sadly the wait looks we have to wait until Nov next year :(

Had to record it... It was ok, nothing to write home about, better compared to recent series. Miss the days of Blink, Waters of Mars and A Christmas Carol.. but all in all, not bad.

I did - and religiously watched all of that series. It's one of the few memories of TV that I've retained!

We all watched it - enjoy a good deus ex machina.   ;)  Still think none of the Drs following DT have matched him.

Overall pretty good, I do like David Tenant and Catherine Tate, I think they work quite well together.

Mostly I liked the non-binary bit, although I've seen people complaining about it. It gave them a plausible-ish excuse to bring Donna back, which is good.

The Meep being the baddy and the insectoid Wrarth being the goodies, was fairly obvious from the start. The cute fluffy creature is never going to be nice nowadays, although it's become a bit of a cliché either way around! I quite like the Wrarth, and hopefully they'll replace the Judoon, who were excessively annoying and dogmatic as an outer-space police force.

... and of course, they sort of brought back the "Round Things".  ;D
Actually, it is rocket science.

I enjoyed it.

I did have an niggle though, as I couldn't understand why, after Donna got her memories back, she was querying why the Doctor had his old face back.  She couldn't have known he'd regenerated twice since she had her brain wiped back in 2008.
