In '20 - '21 we had 54 frosts. Yesterday morning was -2.5°C.

It has been a strange couple of days. I left home near Burton on Monday wrapped up in layers with hand and feet warmers and a frost on all the fields. Got to Manchester via Hanley on the bike and it was warming up steadily. By the forest of Bowland most layers were off for the ascents but back on for the descents which heading north tended to be in shade and much colder. By the time I got to Ingleton the sun had gone in and it was cold again.

My brother sent me this link. It took more than a few minutes to realise it wasn't a spoof.

I see that the Met Office are predicting minimum temperatures of 0°C for a couple of the next few nights.
Bach without a doubt.

I thought it was 'April showers' not 'April constant drizzle'.   :(
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

I read that was a thing from the past but doesn't happen now due to global warming.

Expected it to rain when I went out to Mr Sainsbury’s House of Toothy Comestibles, so wore a jacket.

It didn’t rain.  I melted.

Hell of an April shower yesterday with gusts >80 kph and grey-out rain.  The power went out two or three times but was always back in less than 5 minutes and our UPSes cut in without a hiccup.  Our barn's dodgy roof came through without any more holes, but the doors were forced into the frame and I had to unjam them this morning.  Also had to retrieve a couple of plastic chairs from the garden fence.

Forecast for today has emphatic rain then snow overnight. Bleh.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

Yesterday (20.5mm) was the wettest I have recorded since 5th October. It was also very windy.
Bach without a doubt.

Such an almighty bang on Tuesday pm that I thought next door had exploded*.  Took a while, and several repeat xplosions of varying intensity before genius here worked out that it was in fact a thunderstorm   In mitigation, I had the blinds drawn because there’s nothing to see out of that window anyway.

* Which would have been a criminal waste of gas.

Flippin' 'eck!  Up to 29 degrees in the Estate Office just now :jurek:  Which is quite a lot considering it faces:

1. East, and
b. The side of a house

Wall to wall sun all day here. Unfortunately my usual 1530 finish was moved to 1700 due to a call with the US. By which time it was full on haar.  >:(
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

It's a bright sunny day, with gusts of wind strong enough to be lifting strips of felt from a neighbours roof.   It's also blowing all the white  blossom off the trees in the grounds. It looks like a snowstorm is underway.

Banging and flashing rather half-heartedly outside. Meteo Blue says it'll be over by 7 pm.

Dry except for 5 minutes of damp sprinkles around lunchtime in Polstead. And that nice east wind is forecast to drop for my ride home Wednesday/Thursday  ::-)

I don't think it's rained here since March.
There's no vibrations, but wait.

Rain this morning! I could have counted the drops on top of the bin but they would have vapourised before I'd finished.
