Hi

I have to edit some digital video filming.

Can anyone recommend me a fool proof programme(not apple mac based please).

I will need to put captions, working titles and splice (oops, old term) merge two bits of filming.

Help please!!!

Windows Movie Maker.  Comes with Windoze XP.

Yup Windows Movie Maker should be able to do it. If you want something with a bit more flexibility there is Avid, Adobe Premier and Sony Vegas. All of which you have to pay for but Sony do a fully working 30 day trial I think.

How will you be getting this onto your hard drive (capturing they call it) and are the two bits of filming the same technically, ie from the same sort of camera. How will you be showing the result? Television, internet DVD.

Adobe premier elements is quite good if you need more than moviemaker, but don't want to pay for the full version.
